The Chinese Government encourages international research collaboration, and such collaboration have 
been increasing and effective in terms of the numbers of collaborative project, personal exchanges and 

co-authored academic papers.

There are various kinds of international research collaboration, from multi-national mega-science 
programs, inter-government science and technology cooperation programs, to institutional research

collaboration and visiting scholars. This column, which is still under construction, will provide some 

background information related to research collaboration, and any queries can be addressed to the
